Have you tried to ride the bus lately? Dawn attempted to take the 50 bus Monday but ... SURPRISE ... the lift wouldn't work.

MATA says the lifts are checked everyday. Bus 729 unfolded the lift last Monday to reveal loads of trash that had obviously been piling up over time. MATA clearly did not check that lift Monday, and it looked as if it had not been checked or cleaned in over a month.

Be a part of our "Ride the Bus" lunches. MCIL wants to show public officials how accessible our city is. The absence of curb ramps, MATA's incompetence, and the cities careless attitude of compliance with the ADA say to people with disabilities:

"Stay out of Memphis. Go AWAY!
If you have a disability do not come to Memphis or stay at home (or in a Home)."
