Memphis is now in the process of writing a local Fair Housing Ordinance. Shouldn't homes also be "visitable" by persons with disabilities?
Universal design techniques can make homes more accessible at a low cost. Eleanor Smith started an international effort called Concrete Change to advance the idea of including everyone and make all homes visitable. Make plans to hear Eleanor Smith's thoughts on Visitability, and her experience on including people with disabilities in the Memphis Fair Housing Ordinance.
