Belz Factory Outlet World - Benefit for Memphis Center for Independent Living

(Memphis, July 10) Belz Factory Outlet World will host a memorabilia hounds's dream event. On Saturday, July 10, 1999 from 10 am to 7 pm a Silent Auction featuring celebrity items like a T-shirt from Tim McGraw, a designer necktie from Ahmad Rashad, handwritten music sheets from Barry Manilo, autographed books from Kermit the Frog, Bill Cosby, the Frugal Gourmet, Jeff Bridges, Noah Wylie and many other one of a kind items.
Proceeds from the silent auction will go to benefit the Memphis Center for Independent Living (MCIL) a not-for profit community based program providing support and advocacy for people with disabilities. MCIL's primary mission is the full integration of persons with disabilities into all aspects of community life. Memphis Center for Independent Living supports personal choices in decision making and self-directed lives for all persons with disabilities.
Most importantly, MCIL works to inform and advocate for people with disabilities of laws which protect their civil rights. The training and technical assistance to access these laws is provided to all persons with disabilities regardless of disability type.
Primary funding for MCIL programs comes from the Department of Education and local funding from United Way.
