The typical Memphian will pay twelve percent more for public transportation; But People with Disabilities will pay more than THREE TIMES THAT INCREASE!
MATA is proposing people with disabilities pay the unreasonable increase even though:
Less than half of the fleet is accessible
The Paratransit Director says: "MATAplus is not working."
The burdensome increases to people with disabilities will bring in relatively few funds to improve public transportation!
