ADAPT of Tennessee celebrates Mothers Day with Free Yo Momma Day!

Looking through the bars at our nursing home, Home for People All Buggered Up.

ADAPT of Tennessee opened their own one bed “nursing” home, the Home for People All Buggered Up (Home for PABU) and allowed the inmates to raise money to bail themselves out. All “bail” money was given as a donation to ADAPT of Tennessee. Free Yo Momma Day and the Home for PABU’s was a big success, over $2000 dollars was raised.

Free Yo Momma Day was more than a fundraiser it was used to point out the atrocity of a state that continues to institutionalize our loved ones. “Inmates” to Home for PABU’s were locked away for the day, to symbolize all of our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and friends that are segregated from us by the institutional biased system in Tennessee.

Fun was had by all. Everyone who participated in the event was awarded a rose and a small box of chocolates. High money raiser, Renee Ford received a dozen roses and a big box of chocolate. In a big surprise all cash prizes were forfeited and donated to ADAPT.
