Visit the Cannon Building, House of Representatives. Handed out booklets and DVD’s. 

Ate lunch on Capital Hill. Visited Hart Building 7th Floor. Handed out booklets and DVD’s to Senators.

Went through the tunnel to the Dirksen Building and joined with other groups on the 2nd Floor (Room 215) and packed the Finance Committee room and over flowed into the hallway demanding a meeting with Sen. Grassley. Tables were removed from the committee room to allow more room for us.

The room was open on arrival and the reactions of those around us were funny. The lady over the room asked Bob how we got in and he said, “it was open.” Someone finally came out and had a “meeting” with the leaders, but we gave them hell with the chants as loud as we could. 

Police were in and out of the hallways from the beginning. By 6pm they made their presence known in large numbers. The officers were extremely kind and spoke to us. Some even joked around. When time came we were politely escorted out of the building and to the hotel for those not wanting to be arrested.

This week here in Washington was a very emotional one for me. The night march to the white house was important to me because it’s time to set our people free.
