Rider 37 allows the money that is being spent on a person in a nursing home to be moved to the community care budget when the individual chooses to move to the community.
Advocacy strategies:
1. Tell legislators in your local communities that there needs to be increased funding
for the CBA to eliminate the long waiting list. (DHS budget)
2. Tell legislators in your local communities bgvthat Rider 37 language needs to be permanent
so the "money can follow the individual". (DHS budget)
