The symbol of t t y access, a stylized keyboard and telephone headset

p. 14

Recommend the international symbol for tty access (shown to the left)

p. 15

¶ 4

“…demand go beyond the available service. The …”

“…demand goes beyond the available service the …”

p. 15

through

p.16

¶ beginning “Trip “negotiations” are permissible…

This should remain similar to the information in the current Rider’s Guide including the example given (Old version of the Rider’s Guide pages 8 and 9).  The new text confuses scheduling time and vehicle delays.

p. 16

¶ 1

Sentence beginning “MATAplus agents will call,…

Recommend this and the following paragraph be moved in between the subheadings “Confirmation of Reservations,” and “Reservation Changes / Cancellation.”  Titled Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA’s).

p. 18

¶ 2

remove “serious”

This is an exaggeration.

p. 22

Step

# 8

Delete, this is covered in the “No-show penalties.”

Contradicts the penalties.

p. 22

Step

# 9

Delete “probation”

Customers are not really on “probation.”  Completing a six-month period without a suspension is more accurate.

p. 25

¶ 2

Start new paragraph following “disembarking.”

Makes the guide more readable.

p. 26

¶ 3

Make travel companion plural.

Suggest: “…whether travel companions or a PCA…”

p. 28

¶ 1

Delete residency – correct grammar

Presumptive Eligibility only requires some proof of certification. “Visitors must provide proof of certification when boarding the vehicle.”

p. 31

¶ 1

Delete sentence: “MATA will consider..”

MATA must have a policy or some guidelines for denying anyone service.

p. 34

¶ 2

Change “disabled” to disability

This should read “…committee on disability issues…” and “…the disability community…”  or disabled riders.
